I have a confession to make........ Though I enjoy the holidays~ all the decorations, twinkling lights, shiny ornaments, pretty packages and festive trimmings~I also get excited about January arriving. There is something about stashing the decorations and getting back to a sleeker, more uncluttered way of living that feels fresh. I feel more focused, and renewed, ready for a shiny new year.
As we march headlong into 2013, the calendar looks less frenetic, and
I can't help but take a moment to reflect on the things for which I am grateful.
*Love
*My Family
*Jack
*Our nest~the comfort of home
*Pink clouds dancing in the pool
*Girlfriends
*Parties for friends (my dedicated colleagues)
*Getaways with friends
*The sea
*A perfect Caffe Crema
Riviera Maya 2012
*A meaningful career (as a School Psychologist)

Happy New Year 2013 to you! You look so happy in all of your photos. I hope you had a great New Years Eve :)
Heather, you spoke what's in the heart of most of us. Christmas season is so wonderfully displayed with all the decorations. But, after the celebration and reflection, January gives us the opportunity to breathe deep, exhale, and then live out the renewal plan we made with our Christmas promises of breathing new life into our old life. It is a perfect time to feel refreshed and uncluttered. And, my goodness, you do have a beautiful list of things to be grateful. What a wonderful life! God continue to bless you BIG my friend! xo
Bonne Année!
Hope you had a wonderful trip to London and Paris over Christmas.
I am grateful for so many things: love of my husband, family and friends, my health, the beauty that surrounds me, good food, happiness and living where I do.
Wishing you a peaceful, joyful 2013!
I think you pretty much covered it. For the gift of good health... And gratitude for you and your loving heart. xo Scott
ooh I just feel I want to hibernate in January....September is still my 'new beginings' month a throw back from school days!!
Lovely Heather! Your photos are so inspiring and I know you truly feel passionate about all that you do and all whom you love. Thanks for letting us peek into your travels, family & friends, and style. I especially love this blog that includes Jack - my bud! As for New Year thankfulness and resolution...I too reflect on the love of family, the gift of health, and seizing each moment to cherish and to not take anything for granted. xoxo

London and Paris were very festive this time of year. We had a lovely trip!! Though we had somewhat 'warmer' than normal temps you were absolutely right about the hat. Thanks for the kind advice. You will see glimpses of a few shots I took in Paris in my new 'header' and I look forward to posting more photos soon. Hope your holidays were wonderful. I kept an eye out in the cafes but never ran into you. Next time?? xx
