Liebster Award----A perfect surprise!

It was the perfect start to my day to see that my blog, Stylemindchic, has been given the Liebster Award from an incredibly stylish blogger, Cindy, at Rough Luxe. Check out her lovely blog. The Liebster Award is given to "up and coming" bloggers with less than 200 followers.  Cindy made more than just my day~I'm honored to be in the company of such inspiring bloggers. Thank you!

The rules of this Liebster Award are to share 11 things about yourself and pass the award on to two other "up and coming" bloggers. This is a bit out of the box for me but I'll dive in to my 11.....

My 11 Things:

I still have a mad crush on my husband of 12 years....(most of the time!)

I'm a step-mom to three super talented,  spirited (and beautiful) girls young women-Briana, Lauren and Annika. The girls were 13, 15, 17 when Scott and I married~ it was quite an adventure. It wasn't always easy, for any of us, but we have definitely grown into 'cool' kind of  family and I love it. All three girls are living back in Chico this year which will make celebrating 

Thanksgiving together even more festive.

 I am the most relaxed and at peace on, in or near the water....ocean, pool, bath, fountain...

I immediately feel 10 years younger....(that's what I mean by waterbaby).

I obsessively take photos of the sunset or sunrise from our deck.....and post them on FB, pinterest, Instagram, Twitter......sorry, I can't help myself.  Sunsets always remind me of my dad.

I write a blog, but I have never fancied myself a writer of any kind

I have a personal belief that I could easily live in a Target store for a year-now that they sell food, coffee, produce and wine. Think about it-they do have just about everything.

I have an embarrassing phobia...the heart pounding, flop sweat, running in heels kind of thing. I will NOT post a photo but let's just say you will never, ever find me carrying a snakeskin bag.....cringe......and if you have one, I won't be able to sit by you either (mom!;)

Turning 50 has been a great motivator for me....."if not now, when?" was the question so I answered it. This year I've launched the blog, the Stylemindchic Boutique, as well as continuing my work as a School Psychologist. Frankly, I need to invent a 30 hour day but I'm energized, 

excited about the possibilities. I am challenging myself in this adventure....
a secret to staying ageless I believe.

It's fall but it feels like spring fever around here....maybe that's why they say 'fall in love'? 

I am surrounded by fabulous love stories this season. One of them, I'm more than thrilled to say,  involves this blog, Facebook, my amazing mom, Jeri, and this photo by Eliza Russo......
