Postcard to self from Paradise!

Dear Self,
All this lazing around this swanky poolside and under the beach palapas could make you get used to this deluxe life in Paradise. The powdery sands and turquoise seas are beguiling. The rhythm of the waves lulls you to sleep each night in the frette linens of your perfect canopy bed.  The sultry breeze blows your hair in just the right beachy wave, perfectly styled by mother nature.  


At the airport you and your 'lover' (aka husband of 11 years) are whisked away by private car to the heart of Paradise at Secrets Maroma Beach.  You are warmly greeted with chilled cloths, your favorite libations and smiling staff saying 'welcome home'. You could get used to this.


Here in Paradise there is no such thing as laundry, dishes or even making your own bed. In fact, with the turn down service you don't even have to turn down your own covers. Those delightful little chocolates never appear on your pillow at home. The biggest question of the day~beach or poolside? Naps are not only an option, they are encouraged here in Paradise. Need a towel for that lounge chair? The kindly staff  member will lay it out for you and give you an extra as a pillow. "The pleasure is ours" he says.


Smile....the pleasure is really all yours.

And now, back to life in Paradise... our 7 course breakfast is about to be delivered to our suite. Then off to swim and nap, repeat.....Dinner beach side tonight to celebrate a birthday.

Far too soon it's back to real life-bills, dishes and laundry.
