I've been spotting the 'shady' trend of ombre` (gradiated color) just about everywhere these days. I haven't given it any thought in years, but I do remember painting my sunny LA condo bedroom the palest shell pink and sponging more lightly as I went near the ceiling for a gradiated effect. That may have had something to do with running out of paint, but in the end, I quite liked the result. Ombre` has recently been a big trend in textiles, hairstyles, manicures and even wedding cakes. I've been seeing it just about everywhere.

Even Mother Nature has gotten in on the trend....or maybe she started it.
