There is some excitement going on behind the scenes at Stylemindchic this week and I'm just bursting to share more in the near future. In the meantime, I've got a redesign project on my mind for the home front. We currently have our home office in the den but I'm planning to move my work space to our bright, sunny back room with lots of sunshine and a lovely, expansive view. I headed to Pinterest and Houzz for some design inspiration for my home office. Frankly, I believe the space you work in can truly inspire the quality of work you produce. In the first 3 months of creating the blog I've spent countless hours in the "black hole". It's actually a good camouflage for a computer work station in a black computer armoire, but it does happen to reside in the darkest room of the house. Girl needs some sunshine......Back to my latest project........For my sunny new home office, I'm specifically drawn to the white parsons desks and sleek white shelving.
As always, give me a pop of color!

Sleek and contemporary. I already own the chair.
Fun pops of color with the blues and turquoise.
Then again, loving the orange, coral and golds.....fabulous gold frames~it's been awhile since I've done these.
This screen is to die for fab!
These rich tones get me to thinking.....the white Parson's desk definitely brightens up the space.

Grey and white with pops of yellow are on trend. Check out the white chair. Super stylish but my husband would ask me how comfortable it is..........

Sleek and calming space

This is one of my favorites.....fun colors, sleek desk and I really dig that gold branch in the back for some added texture. This could work! Are you on the verge of a redesign? Would love to hear details.
Cheers,
Heather

The last image is apparently a favorite to just about everyone! It seems to mix past and present, has a touch of glamour, yet simple, and is definitely inspiring!! And,I, too, love the sun in my office. It tells my brain to awaken and be rejuvenated! I think it's important to have one room designated as a work space (if possible). I can't wait to see your ideas all come together!!!! xo
Thank you Shelly, my favorite blogger! I know, this image was super popular on Pinterest (don't we love that inspiration?). I was chatting with my super stylish mom today and it's her favorite look as well. Such a coincidence that my husband walked in with a metal tree sculpture just last night. It's from his family home in L.A. that was just sold. The sculpture may not go in my office but it very cool and sentimental.
I always love when you check in Shelly. Happy Weekend! xo
I often prefer white for home or office decor. I am so glad to see some piece same above. I loved the white bookshelf and I think this design can be great choice for my existing white dressing tables and would love to have more pieces above later on. Anyway, thanks for sharing this sort of pieces.
