Style Guide {part 1} Andrea

I seem to learn my best tips for life in conversation with other women.  A good friend (or sista) is always willing to dish........ 

When it comes to style, I turn to a few of my favorite  style inspirations.  Andrea Swanson,  Newport Beach, is a stylist, mother to 3 adorable boys, married to her longtime love (who just happens to be my brother) is a style inspiration.  Andrea is the definition of effortless chic~whether it be in fashion, the latest hair or makeup trend, or her super sleek, stylish home.  She's also a fantastic cook, and party planner (at least it's always a party when we visit!).  At  "Casa Swanson" there are always fresh flowers, lit candles and even a turn down service for our visit. Andrea makes you wonder how she does it all, with such style.  I've asked Andrea to share a few of her favorite tips for beauty and fashion.

     ~Skincare~ I have used Yon Ka for years…I love the clean botanical scents

        ~ Lips~Lip Fusion … love the natural “plump” that I get from it (no injections
                here!!)

         ~Mascara ~Old School- Maybelline (very black)

         ~Base/primer   Chanel ~Vitalumiere Aqua spf 15

         ~Body lotion~My friend Andy’s '88 Orange'  blossom body butter the smell
                 and feel make me happy!!

                 and if I’m feeling “spicy” Jo Malone Blue Agava & Cacao

           ~Hair Products~ I'm kinda a product junky…I love everything from Frederic
                 Fekkai , Tigi, Rusk…all time favorite , my flat iron of course!!

*My hot tip~there’s nothing like the soft waves you get from being at the beach.  My secret to getting that look without a vacation…Catwalk Salt Spray by Tigi.

Fashionable Favorites:

*Fashion icon:  I have to say I have many that I love…Audrey Hepburn for her
              effortless chic,  Edie Sedgwick for Rock n Roll Glam, to my all time favorite
             Jackie O ( cause no one Rocks the black shades like her!)

*Favorite designers: Alexander McQueen..truly an innovator ,Yves Saint Laurent…
             sexy menswear for women! The Row and Elizabeth and James…young and
             fresh with a vintage boho feel.

*If  I could I’d play … Rachael Zoe …..for a day, because…..”I die I die” and she’s 
           "Baaanannnazz"! And lets face it..........she gets to play dress up all day long!!

My hot tip~I’m a crazy bargain shopper…I love Zara (great knock off looks for less) Mommy day look… Patterson J. Kincaid T’s and my J brand jeans (with flip flops off course!)
